This Privacy Policy explains how PawsDear ("we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use pawsdear.com and related services.

1. Information we collect

• Account data: email address, name (if provided), verification codes, and session identifiers.
• Memorial content: pet names, biographies, photos, audio, video links, letters, tributes, guest messages, and owner settings.
• Dear Mail: emails sent to memorial addresses, including sender address, subject, body, and photo attachments we accept.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information, and server logs collected by our host for security and operations.
• Analytics: on production pawsdear.com, we use Google Analytics and Baidu Analytics to understand page visits. See our Cookie Policy.

2. How we use information

We use information to provide and improve memorial pages, authenticate owners, deliver Dear Mail to the correct memorial, enforce limits and abuse prevention, send transactional email (verification codes, notifications), and understand aggregate usage of the public website.

3. How we share information

Memorial pages are public by default unless you use product settings to limit visibility. We share data with service providers that help us run the site:

• Cloudflare — hosting, CDN, and security (Workers, R2 storage).
• Resend — transactional email delivery.
• Google Analytics / Baidu Analytics — website visit statistics on production only.

We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.

4. Retention

We retain memorial content for as long as your page is active and as needed to provide the service. Logs and analytics data are kept for limited periods appropriate to operations and provider defaults. You may request deletion by contacting us; some data may remain in backups for a short time.

5. Security

We use industry-standard measures including encrypted transport (HTTPS), access controls, and cloud provider security. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

6. Your choices

You can update memorial content and many settings in the owner interface. You may opt out of analytics by using browser controls or extensions that block tracking scripts; core site features do not require analytics cookies.

7. Children

PawsDear is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information.

8. International users

Data may be processed in countries where our providers operate (including the United States). By using the service, you understand that your information may be transferred across borders.

9. Changes

We may update this Policy. We will post changes here with a new effective date.
